Dumpster Sizes

The size of your dumpster is directly correlated with the price of the rental. The bigger the dumpster, the more force required to transport, the higher the price. Don’t let this scare you, our dumpster rental services are aggressively priced to provide the best value on the market. Choosing the wrong dumpster size just to save a few bucks is NOT a mistake you want to make! In fact, if this happens, it may actually cost you more than the cost of that bigger dumpster would have due to the constant emptying. On the other hand, you don’t want a dumpster that’s unnecessarily large. Don’t worry; we’re going to walk you through the dumpster size selection guide now so you can rent a dumpster right the first time.

Chattanooga dumpster rental offers 5 different sizes of dumpsters: 10 yards, 15 yards, 20 yards, 30 yards, and 40 yards. With 5 different options available finding the perfect sized dumpster for your project is simple. Let’s go through each individual dumpster size and specify what exactly their recommended use is:

10/12/15 Yard Dumpsters – These dumpsters are appropriate sized for small residential jobs and/or medium waste cleanup jobs. Any kind of small home renovation, deck removal, roof job, or small kitchen remodel are common uses for our 10 yard sized dumpsters. If you decide a dumpster is an essential cleanup tool for your project, this is a great entry-level option.

20 Yard Dumpsters – These dumpsters are considerably longer than the previously mentioned 10 yard dumpsters. 20 yard dumpsters are best suited for medium renovations and/or large home cleanups. How large? If you are cleaning out a big basement, attic, or garage, it’s our recommendation you rent a 20 yard dumpster. Carpet removal is another frequent task that requires a 20 yard dumpster to store safely.

30 Yard Dumpsters – We’re moving on to the big guys now. 30 yard dumpsters have much larger walls than the 20 yarders we mentioned above. You don’t typically need a 30 yard dumpster for home cleanup projects. The cases in which we see these dumpsters used most are major home additions, or major home demolitions. Anything less and you would be better off saving your money with a smaller dumpster.

40 Yard Dumpsters – These are the biggest of the big. Usually reserved only for commercial projects, 40 yard dumpsters will hold a TON of debris. If you’re looking for a 40 yard dumpster then you probably already know what these monsters are used for, but we’re going to tell you again anyway. These dumpsters are most often used for commercial roof demolition, commercial building clearouts, new construction jobs, or major additions.

Choosing the right sized dumpster for your next project isn’t a difficult task, but make sure you take some time and consider all your options. Always go with slightly bigger instead of slightly smaller if you’re not sure that one of the smaller sizes will hold all of the waste. Buying a larger dumpster may appear more expensive initially, but as we explained in the first paragraph, it will save you money in the long run.
